Growth & Client Operations Lead
Reports to: Cricket La Chica, Co-founder
Commercial focus: WeTrack first, with WeCampaign support where appropriate.
Commission: Paid on new client acquisition under the written agreement.
The Role
WeHawaii is looking for a Growth & Client Operations Lead to build a more repeatable path from qualified prospect to successful long-term client.
This is not a routine support role or a generic internal operations position. You will own the commercial and account-growth path: qualified prospect → discovery → tailored demo → proposal and close → onboarding handoff → adoption visibility → renewal and expansion.
Your first commercial focus will be WeTrack, our legislative intelligence platform. You will also support WeCampaign where product fluency can help customers understand and adopt the platform.
What You Will Own
Build and manage the WeTrack growth pipeline
- Identify organizations that are a strong fit for WeTrack and understand how they currently track legislation, hearings, testimony, client issues, and reports.
- Manage warm introductions, referrals, outreach, follow-ups, and discovery conversations.
- Maintain a clean pipeline with prospect, stage, next action, relationship owner, and expected value.
- Make sure promising conversations never disappear because follow-up was missed.
Run discovery-led demos and commercial follow-through
- Begin with each prospect’s workflow and pain points, then show how WeTrack improves monitoring, reporting, client communication, visibility, and responsiveness.
- Coordinate approved proposals, follow-ups, and next steps, and support WeCampaign demos when appropriate.
- Maintain clear boundaries around pricing, discounts, product commitments, and custom work.
Own the handoff and account-growth system
- Give the Client Success Partner complete context on users, issue areas, keywords, reporting needs, commitments, and workflows.
- Review onboarding progress for high-value, blocked, or at-risk accounts.
- Own relationship-level 30-, 60-, and 90-day account-health conversations.
- Identify renewal, expansion, and executive-relationship opportunities.
Lead client health and service capacity
- Set day-to-day client-work priorities for the Client Success Partner based on urgency, account risk, revenue impact, and commitments.
- Review adoption blockers, support patterns, renewal risks, and growth signals, and coordinate escalation when needed.
- Protect the boundary between technical support and unscoped consulting.
- Send a concise weekly update on pipeline, client health, blockers, opportunities, and decisions needed.
Turn feedback into operating intelligence
- Capture recurring questions, objections, friction, feature requests, and competitive signals.
- Separate support issues, product defects, feature opportunities, out-of-scope requests, and commercial opportunities.
- Build repeatable processes that improve acquisition, handoff, onboarding, and retention.
What Success Looks Like
- A clean, active WeTrack pipeline with a next action for every meaningful prospect.
- Consistent qualified discovery conversations, demos, and proposal activity.
- New recurring WeTrack revenue or measurable late-stage qualified opportunity.
- No lost commercial follow-ups and clear visibility into what converts.
- Successful onboarding handoffs, early renewal and expansion signals, and clear client health.
What This Role Is Not
- A routine technical-support role or the owner of every training session, setup task, or customer ticket.
- Political consulting, campaign strategy, voter-targeting advice, or advice on how to win elections.
- Authority to make unapproved pricing, discount, feature, custom-development, or timeline commitments.
- Company-wide HR, legal, finance, vendor management, engineering, or people-management authority.
Ideal Background
- Business development, client success, account management, professional services, consulting, or relationship-based sales.
- Strong discovery conversations, demos, follow-through, and written communication.
- Comfort explaining technology to non-technical users.
- Familiarity with Hawaiʻi government, advocacy, lobbying, campaigns, legislative processes, or local organizations.
- Especially valuable: legislative intelligence, public policy, government affairs, campaign technology, voter data, field operations, or startup experience.
